Side By Side Advocacy is a not-for-profit organisation based in Parramatta in New South Wales. We aim to promote and uphold the rights, needs and interests of people with disability to enable full and meaningful participation in the community. Side By Side Advocacy provides free advocacy for people with disability in the northern region of Greater Sydney and in the Parramatta area. This could be through Individual Advocacy, Citizen Advocacy and NDIS Appeals Support. We specialise in advocacy for people with intellectual disability. We are committed to inclusive governance. We are researching ways that people with intellectual disability can be more meaningfully included as members of management committees and boards. We also have a number of projects aimed at enhancing the social inclusion and active participation of people with intellectual disability in their community.
