IRT Foundation advocates for older Australians. We tackle homelessness, loneliness and joblessness head on, because disadvantage doesn't discriminate. Knowing no two individuals are the same, we provide solutions to meet your individual needs, now and in the future should your needs change. Whether you or a loved one wishes to reside in an IRT Lifestyle Community or Care Centre, or receive IRT In-Home Care in your own home, we can assist you to find the best solution. Lifestyle Communities Our Lifestyle Communities are vibrant places where you can live with like-minded people in a secure, relaxed environment, with the bonus of having all your gardening and general maintenance taken care of. In-Home Care In-Home Care is all about getting help with day-to-day things, to allow you to live the life you want, while maintaining your independence and keeping control of your routine, home and lifestyle. Care Centres Our Care Centres are ideal for when you need some extra support on a regular basis, without compromising on the lifestyle you love. With additional care just around the corner, you won't have to worry about getting a helping hand when you need it. Carer Support Carer Support is where short term accommodation and care is made available for seniors in one of our Care Centres, allowing carers to have a well deserved break, whether it be for a holiday, medical reason or just to spend some time alone. Wellness Programs Our Wellness Programs are designed to promote health and wellbeing for residents, clients and carers. Pathways Program Kemira at IRT William Beach Gardens is a new type of community that will allow families to stay together in a supportive environment. The community addesses the needs of ageing people with intellectual disability and their carers who can struggle to find accomodation as they get older and their needs change. Affordable housing rental This service allows financially disadvantaged people who normally would not be able to afford the entry contribution into our Lifestyle Communities to share in IRT products and services and become a part of our IRT communities. Assistance with Care & Housing for the Aged (ACHA) IRT’s administration of the ACHA program in the Illawarra seeks to advocate on behalf of seniors for fair and equitable access to IRT Lifestyle and Care services for our many clients who are either homeless or at risk of homelessness.
