The Greek Orthodox Community of South Australia Incorporated (GOCSA) is an established multi-purpose centrally located organisation, a focal point in this state for people of Greek background. (Volunteers are reimbursed for mileage if using own vehicle) We are seeking volunteers for a range of roles that involve driving to help with our Community Care Programs:

~ Shopping Assistants - volunteers will pick up clients from their home using their own vehicle and take them out to do their shopping. It may also be combined with a social outing where volunteers and clients enjoy a coffee and cake!

~ Social Support Assistants - involves volunteers using their own vehicles to pick up clients from their home and to take them to medical appointments or to attend social support programs.

You don't need to have previous experience or skills. This is an excellent opportunity to reduce an elderly persons isolation and to meet new people, improve your Greek language skills and have some fun!
