Established in 2013, Mood Active is a small, not for profit association based in Sydney. We provide a tailored exercise programs to the support needs of our clients who can choose from a  casual program, 4 week wellbeing workout or more instense support 8 week 1:1 exercise coaching program.

Participants are typically referred to us by GP’s, psychologists and community organisations and to date, feedback has been very positive. We are currently expanding our operation into greater Sydney.

This role reports to the General Manager and would require approx 4 hours a week on average, work flexibly.

Key responsibilities:

  • Hands on proactive sourcing of sponsorship for operations and events i.e. lead generation, calling and meeting potential partners
  • Oversee Grants Writers to achieve funding targets by setting direction, coaching and developing the team and managing their performance
  • Some grants writing when required to support the Grants Writers
  • Coordinate the resource and update the Grants calendar
  • Budget and price modelling in relation to Grants
  • Liaise with the Marketing Consultant to produce marketing material

Required:

  • Successful track record in leading and motivating a team to achieve goals in a sales, sponsorship, business development, grants or fundraising environment
  • Demonstrated experience writing business reports and/or marketing related material and/or psychology (or similar) thesis
  • Proactive and a desire to help people in the field of mental health
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong planning and organising skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • MS Word, email, internet search skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in health or fitness industry, mental health, disabilities, not for profits etc
