Weekend Visitor (Clare)

Helping Hand Aged Care, Clare, is seeking enthusiastic Weekend Visitors to provide friendship and spend quality one on one time with residents. Depending on the interests of the resident, you may spend your time doing the following:

~ Sharing conversation ~ Reading ~ Board games ~ Listening to music ~ Having a coffee ~ Going for a walk

Saturday and Sunday times available between 10:30-11:30am or 1:30-3:30pm

Requirements

National Police Certificate

~ Able to maintain privacy and confidentiality ~ Keen to listen and share experiences/stories ~ Must have clear communication skills ~ A fun and outgoing personality and a good sense of humour ~ Volunteers must be punctual and reliable, have a friendly, positive attitude towards other team members and enjoy working with the elderly, frail and cognitively impaired. ~ Be willing to attend any mandatory training sessions (if required) ~ Have or be willing to undergo a National Police Check (at no cost) ~ Abide by all policies and procedures and OH&S protocol Please Note: As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Volunteer Personal Accident Insurance)
