Social Support Volunteers are matched to the resident. More than one companion/resident pairing may be allocated. Other activities/roles may be undertaken as a joint function of this position.

• Able to maintain privacy and confidentiality
• Keen to listen and share experiences/stories
• Good clear communication skills
• Must have good personal presentation and hygiene
• Be willing to attend any mandatory training sessions (if required)
• Have or be willing to undergo a National Police Check (at no cost)
• Abide by all policies and procedures and OH&S protocol

Volunteers must be punctual and reliable, have a friendly positive attitude towards other team members and enjoy working with the elderly, frail and cognitive impaired.
