Social Support Volunteer
Helping Hand Aged Care IncSocial Support Volunteers are matched to the resident. More than one companion/resident pairing may be allocated. Other activities/roles may be undertaken as a joint function of this position.
- Able to maintain privacy and confidentiality
- Keen to listen and share experiences/stories
- Good clear communication skills
- Must have good personal presentation and hygiene
- Be willing to attend any mandatory training sessions (if required)
- Have or be willing to undergo a National Police Check (at no cost)
- Abide by all policies and procedures and OH&S protocol
Volunteers must be punctual and reliable, have a friendly positive attitude towards other team members and enjoy working with the elderly, frail and cognitive impaired.
