Role Requirements

• Must be able to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
• Assist in preparation, set up for and participation in various activities.
• When required, collect residents to attend functions.
• Check equipment and supply needs, and prepare for the activities.
• Participate/assist with lifestyle activities – e.g. walking groups, art, craft, bingo, board games, group social functions, entertainment/musical performances and movies.
• Carry out duties as delegated and be able to work alongside others.
• Volunteers must be punctual and reliable, have a friendly positive attitude towards other team members and must enjoy working with people who are elderly, frail and cognitively impaired.
• Be prepared to attend any mandatory training sessions as required.
• Must have or willing to apply for a National Police Check (at no cost).
• Abide by all policies and procedures and OH&S protocol.
• Have current seasonal influenza vaccination.
