The Ronald McDonald Family Room at Northern Hospital is a warm and welcoming home away from home inside the hospital, away from the clinical environment of the wards. Managed by volunteers, the Family Room contains lounge areas, a laundry, cooking facilities and more, meaning there is always somewhere the family can unwind.

Volunteers oversee the day to day running of the Family Room, including welcoming and supporting families as well as general housekeeping.

Volunteers are needed throughout the week and weekends during the following times:

• 9am - 12pm
• 12pm - 3pm
• 3pm - 6pm
