Processes which the Kitchen Assistant may be asked to assist with include:

• Assisting the cook with the preparation and cooking of desserts, main meals and soups
• Preparing salads
• Peeling and preparing vegetables
• 'Plating' hot and chilled meals and deserts
• Assembling meals and packing them into eskies ready for delivery to clients
• Washing up and storing of kitchen utensils and equipment
• General cleaning in the kitchen
