Why Choose Twilight Aged Care? Twilight Aged Care offers a variety of volunteering options to anyone interested in making a difference through volunteering by using your knowledge, experience and talents to provide enjoyment and a sense of community for our residents, as well as in supporting our staff. With a flexible program we are happy to work with whatever hours you can offer, whether it is assisting with one off functions, setting a weekly or monthly date, or helping out daily.

Opportunities are available throughout our four residential aged care facilities across Sydney’s northern shores: • Glengarry, Mosman • Glades Bay Gardens, Gladesville • Horton House, Gordon • Hunters Hill Village

Examples of Regular Activities: 1) Providing social interaction on an individual basis with a resident; 2) Setting up and running a group e.g. bingo, scrabble, bridge, cards; 3) Cooking and craft activities; 4) Setting up and running conversation during a social group e.g. chit chat; 5) Volunteers with a current NSW Class C License or above (i.e. able to drive no less than a 12 seater bus). 6) Bus Buddy (e.g. go on group outings to interesting places)

Examples of Occasional Activities: 1) Volunteers who are able to dedicate some time occasionally for special events e.g. days outs (bus trips etc.) special functions in the facility or 2) Volunteers with a current NSW Class C License or above (i.e. able to drive no less than a 12 seater bus).

What Do I Need to Know? Twilight Aged Care will provide you with a through induction and ongoing training in accordance to legislative requirements, and the nature of the work undertaken by the volunteer and a safe and friendly environment.

All successful applicants will be required to consent to a National Police Check*. All volunteer appointments are subject to a satisfactory national police clearance certificate. Police Check outcomes are considered in accordance with applicable legislation and relevant standards.

Get Involved Volunteer interaction with our residents plays such an important role, whether it’s through social interaction with a resident, running a games group like bingo or even those who can help with one off special events.
