Australian Army CadetsThe Australian Army Cadets is a personal development program for young people, conducted by the Australian Army in cooperation with the community. The program is designed to benefit the nation by developing the individual, their community and the Australian Army.
Army Cadet Staff volunteers plan, supervise and conduct training activities and are responsible for the management of Army Cadet Units. They work closely with members of the Australian Army, young people, parents and with the local community that support their Cadet Unit.
Army Cadet Staff Volunteers may be involved in Training, Administration and Logistics roles within the Army Cadet Unit.
Normally volunteers commence as Registered Adult Helpers and after a trial period can commence the selection process to become Army Cadet Staff Volunteers.
The selection process for Army Cadet Staff Volunteers includes police, referee and Working With Children checks, and a selection interview to assess suitability to work with young people.
