Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all Australian states have health and social distancing rules in place to minimise the spread of the virus. COVID-19 has also impacted and reduced the number of volunteer opportunities available this year. Please check your state’s restrictions before expressing your interest in volunteering.

The Salvation Army provides over 130,000 meals and more than 36,000 food hampers to individuals and families in need. Salvos volunteers like you help spread cheer among almost 70,000 households each Christmas. By getting involved this year, you're helping make sure we lave no one in need.

We’d love your assistance to help in all areas of our Christmas Toy Room Event.

If you live in the Ballarat area or surrounds, you might like to assist in creating Christmas joy by setting up our Toy warehouse or acting a s Christmas Elf and assisting families in choosing toys for their children.

• Setting up days; December 12th & 13th 9:30 am till 12:30 pm - 1 pm till 3 pm

• Christmas Elves; December 17th, 18th & 19th 9 am till 12:30 pm - 1 pm till 3 pm

Training/Orientation supplied.

Please nominate your preferred date(s) in "Interests, skills & qualifications" and how many people in your group.

• We experience a high volume of interest in Christmas volunteering, it may take time for us to respond to your expression of interest.

• Some tasks require a level of physical fitness and stamina to complete the task and may not be suitable for all applicants.

• High School Students and Corporates invited to apply.

• Parking available on site.

• Light to moderate lifting may also be required so volunteers need to be physically able.

• All roles suitable for volunteers who can embody the Christmas spirit.
