A Paediatric Volunteer will meet and greet parents and their families, including general information and escorting families to and from theatre. Volunteers will support the families, patients and Caregivers through the whole process including assisting the journey into holding bay and orientating the parents to the nearby waiting room and café. The Volunteer will then meet the parents when their child is awake and take them to their child post-surgery in the Recovery department. Our aim to ensure the parents are fully educated, cared for and supported through their child’s surgical journey.
