Abbeyfield Ainslie is a home for ten older residents on low incomes. Each resident has their own room, with ensuite. Our full-time housekeeper prepares lunch and dinner Monday to Friday and our weekend housekeeper cooks on Saturday and Sunday nights. This model of housing is great for people who have limited means, are receiving a Centrelink pension and are happy to share this spacious home with other residents. A volunteer committee manages the house, under the auspice of Abbeyfield Australia. The committee handles all aspects of the running of the house – finances, employment of staff, IT, gardening, maintenance of the house, assessment of suitable residents, liaison with Abbeyfield Australia.

The Abbeyfield Ainslie committee is a great group of people, who share the roles and fill in for others, when they are away on holidays or family occasions. Each member contributes where their particular interest and skills lie, with as much or as little time they can contribute.
