WWO is seeking volunteers who are physically fit (as some rescues may involve running or clambering over rocks etc), over 18 years of age and have a current driver’s license. Experience in any of the following would be helpful: Wildlife Carer, Veterinary Nursing or Vet Science, Medical background Animal handling. However, if you aren’t afraid of handling animals, and can commit to the required hours, extensive training and support will be provided.
The rewards are learning new skills and helping our Fleurieu Wildlife, working with a very dedicated small team and knowing you are ‘making a difference’, and of course enjoying those times when animals are successfully released back where they came from after treatment.
