Willoughby Day Centre is a centre for seniors with mild dementia that provides clients with a "home away from home" atmosphere while allowing their carers some respite. It has the capacity to care for up to 14 clients per day. Whilst at the centre, seniors enjoy activities such as music, art and craft designed to develop, maintain and support their client’s capacity for independent living and social interaction. Outings, BBQ’s and day trips are also provided.

Clients arrive at the Day centre to a welcoming cup of tea followed by group exercises and a variety of group and person centered activities. Volunteers assist with activities, help staff with serving lunch and most importantly by providing valuable social support to clients.

This role is great for someone who is patient, has great communication skills, friendly and empathetic. Volunteers attend the centre any week day between 10am - 2:30pm, ideally on a weekly basis.
