Donnybrook SES volunteers provide a vital community service by responding to storms, floods and searches.  The Local Manager role is appointed for 3 years and ensures the operational readiness of the unit, manages and mentors SES personnel and co-ordinates emergency response.

Key Responsibilities

  • ensure the operational readiness of the SES unit
  • management of personnel, equipment and assets
  • mentor SES members
  • co-ordinate SES emergency response
  • participate in the regional SES leadership team

Essential Criteria

  • high level communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills
  • well-developed leadership skills
  • ability to manage financial, human and physical resources
  • willingness to contribute to a community-centred emergency service
