Hair Aid

ABOUT THE ROLE

We need an experienced newsletter content magician to create and manage our Newsletter.

We are looking for someone who can give us advice and make the most out of our database and send out monthly newsletters that *pop*.

This role would be suitable for someone who already does this type of work that is wanting to use their skills to help our charity grow.

ABOUT HAIR AID

We are a charity called Hair Aid. Hair Aid does 2 main projects: International projects & Hair Aid Community Cuts (HACCs).

International projects: Hair Aid’s first mission recruits & sends volunteer hairdresser to overseas locations to provide free hair cutting training for people living in critical poverty. Our teams volunteer directly with people living on the street, or slum communities, or with ladies rescued from the sex trade and prostitution gangs.  Our volunteer hairdressers teach a 5 day hair cutting course, giving the skill to cut five basic haircuts. This skill is used to start a micro business and create an income to support themselves and their families.  We do this training in the Philippines, Thailand ,Indonesia and Cambodia.

Hair Aid’s second mission is to recruit and coordinate volunteer hairdressers to work with organisations in their local community (support organisations, churches, community groups, etc) that support those in our own communities that need a hand. We call these events Hair Aid Community Cuts (HACCs).  Our teams support community groups, charities, government organisations and/or church groups that care for homeless, domestic violence sufferers, migrants or those just in suffering at a time of crisis.  Our teams provide free haircuts, for 2 –3 hours every six weeks at their local Hair Aid Community Cuts event. It is with this all these events we need help.

It is with all these events we need help. However, you must know that I organise all these events from my home address with this, at Woolloongabba, not a corporate office.  I do conduct inductions sessions,  for new volunteers to come along and hear what Hair Aid is all about however this would also suit someone who works remotely.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
