Corporate Partnerships Manager

Anika Legal

WHAT WE DO We provide free, online legal assistance & practical legal training opportunities

Anika Legal is a start-up charity that envisions a world where everyone can access justice. We work towards our vision by providing free legal assistance to the community through an online platform, which is powered by law students seeking practical legal opportunities.

THE OPPORTUNITY Build and lead Anika’s newly established Corporate Partnerships Team

  • Be entrusted to establish the organisation’s first corporate partnership strategy after the success of our pilot and first demonstrable social impact.
  • Significantly assist a start-up charity to develop critical long-term partnerships, financial sustainability, and overall impact.
  • Join an organisation with a young, dynamic team and strong focus on mentorship and development.

ARE YOU THE RIGHT FIT? We are looking for a compassionate, curious law student who identifies with Anika’s purpose of providing access to justice, and in doing so, in new and bold ways. Ideally, you will have an interest in learning practical skills to prepare you to work in an evolving legal industry, as well as using legal technology to improve the delivery of legal services and legal education.

This is a volunteer role to improve the justice system and to make a real difference. It’s important to stress we take the work we do seriously, and we set high expectations for everyone across the organisation. This is also reflected in the experience you’ll get as an Anika volunteer - access to development opportunities, exposure to new legal technology, and above all, real impact!

THE ROLE You will lead the Corporate Partnerships Team to build your team, and create and execute Anika’s first Corporate Partnership strategy

As Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will report to the CEO and be responsible for:

  • Establishing the team’s strategy, goals, and roadmap in line with organisational objectives.
  • Managing the Corporate Partnerships Team to achieve goals.
  • Developing and managing all relationships with corporates to build long term, mutually beneficial partnerships and create fundraising opportunities

For the right candidate, this role can also be adapted to involve a focus on your particular area of interest within the fundraising space and/or can include the following responsibilities:

  • Developing Anika’s overarching fundraising strategy
  • Start and own new fundraising projects, e.g. peer-to-peer/crowdfunding campaigns
  • Responsibility for managing relationships with non-corporate partners including community and philanthropic organisations, universities, or government departments

The role is expected to involve 4-8 hours of work per week, but we support our team members having other commitments and understand flexibility is needed from time to time.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? A driven, professional individual who can establish strong relationships, and engage and motivate a team

Ideally, you will have:

  • Professional experience developing corporate partnerships on behalf of a not-for-profit organisation, or as a corporate working with not-for-profit organisations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A desire to develop your team management and leaderships skills.
  • A desire to gain experience working in a tech start-up, social enterprise, and charity, in the not-for-profit sector.
