Community GRO is a not for profit organisation providing services and programs to support families and individuals across the Townsville community through our Upper Ross and Garbutt Community Centres.

We value the skills and experience that each of our volunteers bring to the organisation and their contribution to support our staff and program service delivery. Our volunteers have the opportunity to participate and benefit from our programs and training.

Duties include: food preparation, chopping and packaging vegetables in preparation to the next days cooking, cleaning kitchen and utensils, rubbish removal.

No specific skills required. This position would suit someone who has one or two mornings to spare each week.

Ability to work as a team is important as you would be working alongside other volunteers.

The Garbutt Community Centre has a wonderful team of volunteers. Volunteering in the kitchen not only supports our meal preparation it also provide the opportunity for social interaction. The team environment within the centre is supportive and volunteers are welcome to participate in the program delivered at the centre.
