We are currently looking for two Melbourne-based members of our board of governance at the next regular meeting, expected to be in early August. These are voluntary roles with no remuneration.

Position one: We are looking for someone with accounting and finance experience who will be trained and supported to replace our treasurer at our October AGM. The ideal candidate will be a CPA (or equivalent, CA, ACCA, IPA). Melbourne-based.

Position two: We are looking for someone with strategic management or administration experience to replace our Vice-President at our October AGM. Melbourne-based.

As well as the role-specific skills, board members will be able to contribute with any of the additional the following experience:

• NFP or NGO experience
• Familiarity with the TAFE and VET sector
• Experience with philanthropic organisations
• Experience working with Aboriginal organisations or communities

The board meets every 4-6 weeks on a weekday evening. Local board members are expected to be able to attend meetings in-person, but remote attendance is possible (meetings are currently held online). We also have an annual day-long strategic planning meeting in our Carlton offices.

Requirements: ability to also join online meetings remotely if necessary.
