Endangered Productions
Logo for Endangered Productions

Endangered Productions is a not-for-profit semi-professional theatre company presenting innovative, intimate performances of overlooked music and theatrical treasures. The fulfilling, collaborative journey of creating a show embraces a multitude of talents and skills. During this creative journey, our members use a mentoring model, to share their knowledge and abilities with others that have the enthusiasm but lack the skills. It takes a myriad of talents and skills to create a music theatre production and the Endangered Productions team enjoy developing people's capabilities while involving them in the robust community of live theatre. Particularly valued are mature, retired citizens who have time to commit to creative pursuits. For those with intellectual or physical disabilities, mental health problems or others who are socially isolated, we provide a welcoming, inclusive community. Several of the Endangered Productions’ team have worked professionally with people who are socially marginalised.

The opportunities for involvement include:

• Computer, IT & social media • Creating props or costumes to be used in productions or exhibits • Set construction • Photography & video – particularly during rehearsals • Supper preparation – food and drink are vital elements at all rehearsals • Acting as audience – productions often involve audience engagement • Marking up sets, getting props organised • Production assistance • Observing and enjoying the rehearsal process.
