The Website Writer & Editor is part of the Connect Group (Content) at Alive 90.5 FM.

Goals

Timely updates to Alive 90.5 FM Website based on content sourced from Media Releases, Social Media, Word of Mouth, Presenters, Connect Group and Board.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Content (posts) of Alive  90.5 FM Website
• Notify Content Team of new posts so they can distribute to social Media
• When applicable, write ‘On Air Reads’ for website posts which are then read by Presenters during Community Diary sections of programming

Skills

• Wordpress including Version 5 Gutenberg Block Editor
• Content writing and editing skills, including understanding content from different ‘persons’ such that the content reads well for public audience.
• Have an ear for the spoken word to be able to write content that will be natural for a Presenter to read On Air
• Basic image editing skills as required to get good featured images for posts. Alive 90.5 FM relies on good quality images to have a very visual appeal for the website.
• It is expected that the Website Writer & Editor has a good understanding of local community issues within the Hills, Parramatta and Cumberland areas.

Training

• Wordpress training can be provided, though desired that this be a skill already acquired.
• Orientation will be given to the Alive 90.5 FM website, post taxonomy etc.
• It is expected that the Website Writer & Editor will become a Member of Alive 90.5 FM if they are not currently a Member.

Job Location

Website Writer & Editor can do most of the role from their own home. Connect Group meetings will be held at Alive 90.5 Station in Baulkham Hills NSW from time to time.
