You will be working in an enthusiastic and supportive team and will be directly reporting to the President

As an Events Manager you will organising day events, bingo nights, quiz nights, as well as working alongside our monthly community market coordinator and information/education coordinator throughout the year. All of this is to contribute to the fantastic atmosphere and reputation we have built.

As we are a WA support group and we have members throughout events will need to be held in the 4 quadrants of Perth (North, South, East & West) as well as some of the larger regional areas such as Bunbury, Albany, Katanning, Northam & Geraldton. Being such a large area to manager you will be required to recruit someone to oversee and manage events in each of these areas, who will report back to you.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to: Working closely with our supportive, friendly and collaborative team importantly, Secretary and Grant Writer/Sponsorship Manager Design, plan, organise functions and events Documentation and data entry Liaising directly with committee members and office staff both through phone and email correspondence Develop run sheets and making sure you are working within set budgets and guidelines Post event evaluation Help coordinate development and programs for events Coordinate the set up and pull down of the event on the day We aim to keep our costs down as much as possible. Try and source donations or free room hire. Provide written reports on all events from previous month for Committee meetings You will be supported and guided by the committee who will aid in the lead up to the event. You will be required to work from our Rockingham office 1 day a week, with the option of working from home any other time. We would love to hear from you if you have strong relational and communications competency and experience in negotiating/ communicating with key stakeholders Ability to meet deadlines Happy, can do attitude Strong teamwork skills Intermediate computer skills Familiarity with events registration platforms and willingness to learn new software as appropriate Flexibility to travel and attend events some of which are regional Excellent organisational and administrative skills
