School Transport Driver Volunteer - Port Pirie
Australian Red CrossThe program
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) allows people with a disability and their families to choose the services that they receive. Australian Red Cross provides a door to door transport service to and from the Mid North Education Centre for children with a disability who have transport included in their NDIS package.
The opportunity
Australian Red Cross is looking for caring and reliable people who enjoy driving or travelling to join our NDIS Transport team as a driver or companion in the Port Pirie. Volunteers must be over 18 with a good driving record and be willing to undertake basic driving operations check (drivers only). A current First Aid certificate is desirable.
The impact
As a Transport volunteer, you will help improve the quality of life and wellbeing of children with a disability by connecting them with school. Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the world’s largest humanitarian network.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
