As a Policy & Advocacy Team volunteer, you will be assisting ISMA to advance its key objectives of seeking harmonisation of the laws insofar as they relate to social media.

As such, your role may include the following:

• research social media policy issues, including monitoring and analysing various trends and activities on Government sites (ie the ACCC) that relate to social media law in Australia and, as is practicable, globally.
• assist the Head of Advocacy & Policy to influence public policy and disseminate information to the public and stakeholders (eg via articles or white papers)

Team objectives are to assist with ISMA’s Mission of harmonising the global social media laws. Your main role is to ensure that ISMA promptly responds and/or comments on changes to proposed changes to social media laws. You will work predominantly with the Head of Advocacy & Policy and the President of ISMA.
