Organisation GiveOUT, formerly known as The Channel Giving Circle, is a national LGBTIQ+ organisation focused on growing philanthropic and public support for rainbow community organisations and programs. Established in 2016, in our short history our members have directly raised and  distributed more than $150,000 in grants to LGBTIQ+ community projects, supported more than 50 LGBTIQ+ community organisations, and released the first ever Australian report on the state of LGBTIQ+ funding.

Centred around co-ordinating GiveOUT Day (an annual, national day of fundraising for LGBTIQ+ projects and organisations) GiveOUT exists to facilitate, support and grow LGBTIQ+ funding in Australia, provide resources and tools for LQBTIQ+ organisations, events and projects, raise the profile of the sector, and periodically report on the state of giving and the health of LGBTIQ+ philanthropy in Australia.

Each GiveOUT Day is an opportunity to unite the rainbow sector, advocate for increased LGBTIQ+ funding, grow funds and capacity for giving, and build a network of partners, organisations and philanthropists.

In April 2019, the inaugural Australian GiveOUT Day was a huge success - raising a total of $85,000 for more than 40 LGBTIQ+ community organisations across the country, in just 24 hours. The day also brought together donors and organisations, facilitated a user-friendly funding platform, increased the ease with which people could donate, and brought a higher level of organisation and visibility to the grant process for LGBTIQ+ groups in Australia.

Position As part of a strategic restructure, GiveOUT will be establishing two Board Advisory Committees, with 8-10 members each. These positions are voluntary and would suit qualified and experienced members of the LGBTIQ+ community with skills in fundraising, finance, events, tech or marketing who feel they can make a significant difference to the sector and community and are looking to develop their skills and experience.

Strong commitment to LGBTIQ+ causes and experience within the Not-for-Profit sector is essential, current experience within an LGBTIQ+ organisation (such as VAC, ACON, Mardi Gras, Midsumma or Pinnacle) is preferred and previous fundraising or events experience would be an advantage.

Applications To apply to be a member of either the GiveOUT Management or GiveOUT Day committee, please send your expression of interest letter addressing the above criteria and your CV to Neil Pharaoh, Managing Director.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
