Support The Salvation Army in Auburn by volunteering as a collector for 3 or 3.5hrs and you can help give hope where it is needed most. Opportunities are available to assist at this much loved annual event and help The Salvation Army in Auburn raise much needed funds at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Friendly faces are required to collect at the entrances to the showgrounds to support the good work of the Salvation Army and the fundraising for its essential Community Programs.

We are looking for 16 volunteers per day (4 volunteers per shift ) to help us fundraise.

Dates: Friday 3rd – Tuesday 14th April 2020

Shifts Available daily  - 8.30am  – 11.30am 11.30 -  3pm 3pm – 6.30pm 6.30pm – 9.30pm

Transport and Parking: No parking available – but is well serviced l by train (Olympic Park), buses (extra event Services)

Location: Sydney Show Ground - Olympic Park You will be notified of your collection location (Map Provided)   via email   once your shift is established.

Things to know:

• Collect at the entrances to the Easter Show.
• You will be provided with all collecting materials; such as table, banners, collection bucket.
• A chair  (you do not have to stand for the 3.5  hours) and  water is provided for you.  There is coverage if it is raining.
• You do not need to ask for donations – in fact we are not allowed but people are very  generous and we just need to  smile and say hello to everyone.
• You will be provided with a Salvation Army vest while collecting.
• Appropriate clothing (shorts and skirts need to be at knee level),  Closed in Shoes and please bring a jumper as it may get cold.
• We ask that you come 5 mins before your shift to organise the change over.
• We will reimburse you for the cost of your travel to and from the Show.
• A bottle of water if provided and please feel free to bring some snacks to eat.
