Peer Support Volunteers visit selected treatment facilities to provide support to patients and family members affected by cancer.

You will have had your own personal experience with cancer, either as a patient or carer, and be able to draw upon your strong sense of empathy to provide a listening ear, emotional support and the ability to link people to Cancer Council Queenslands information and support services.

It is a requirement of the role to complete induction training and be willing to have relevant vaccinations.
