Company Secretary (primarily volunteer based)
Equestrian AustraliaEquestrian Australia (EA) is the peak body for the administration of Equestrian Sport in Australia. The organisation manages four Olympic / Paralympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. The commitment to success is encouraged at every level of the sport and is reflected in world-class results at Olympic level. As a result, Australia has earned the reputation as an elite Equestrian nation.
We are currently seeking a qualified company secretary. While largely a volunteer-based role, a small remuneration or honorarium will be considered for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities include: • To provide administrative support to the recently appointed Board of Directors. • Call for and prepare the agendas, minutes and active action register lists distributing the same for Board meetings and following up with Board members to ensure outcomes are completed. • Attend all Board meetings (circa 8 p.a. comprising F2F generally held in Sydney and via technology as required) and the AGM (via technology). • Ensure all ASIC compliance responsibilities are completed by the Finance Manager. • Maintain a register of the Company Seal. • Maintain a register of Board decisions made by circular resolution. • Co-ordinate the AGM (and any EGM) processes and draft and publish the AGM and any EGM minutes.
