Day managers will be involved and inducted into the many and varied aspects of our community centre. Ideally, volunteers will be able to:

• Commit to a regular day once a week.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate pro-active problem-solving abilities.
• A commitment to improving the standing of women in society.
• Demonstrate an empathic understanding of the issues affecting women, their families, and the impact of intersectional factors, including the experience of people who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, people from non-English speaking backgrounds, people who are gender-diverse, people who are differently abled, experience mental ill-health, have experienced generational trauma and poverty etc,

Role requirements:

• Ability to commit to a regular shift each week
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A well-developed capacity to problem-solve
• An interest in the well-being of women and an understanding of the impact of factors that intersect with gender.
