South West Sydney Legal Centre

South West Sydney Legal Centre provides legal services to marginalised people in the LGAs of Liverpool, Fairfield and Canterbury-Bankstown and delivers support and case management services to people who have experienced family and domestic violence in South West Sydney and Central Sydney. We employ over 60 people including lawyers and specialist domestic violence workers, with four locations and a budget of over $6 million.

There are two vacancies on the Management Committee (“board”) of our Incorporated Association.

We are seeking volunteer board members who have particular skills and experience in a combination of some of these areas:

  • Community legal services
  • Domestic and family violence services
  • Technology (technical; and risk and compliance)
  • Communications
  • Fundraising and philanthropy

Board members must have a strong commitment to social justice. Applicants with current or past experience in the community legal sector or domestic and family violence sector will be highly regarded, as will applicants with board experience or board training. Meetings are held at Liverpool in the evenings 6-8 times per year.
