Are you empathetic, non judgemental and supportive, if so this role should suit you. Volunteers provide empathetic support for people visiting family or friends at Yatala Labour Prison. You would be asked to engage with and provide a listening ear to visitors whilst also offering appropriate information and referrals to services if needed. Ability to work with other team members. Responsibilities include : Maintaining Centre area cleanliness. Engage and listen to visitors and children. Provide tea and coffee to visitors. Liase with OARS Family Centre staff and other volunteers on duty. At all times adhering to the policies, procedures and criteria of OARS SA.
