Activity Support volunteer
City of PlayfordVolunteers have an important role supporting the broad range of activities participants undertake to maximise opportunities for skill development and increased independence (working with rather than 'doing' for).
Volunteers support and encourage participation in a broad range of centre-based activities, including fitness, craft, cooking, music and various workshops as well as regular community outings.
Friends volunteers are:
- Positive and friendly
- Have a sense of humour
- Energetic
- Have good communication and listening skills
- Have a genuine interest in working with people with Intellectual disabilities
- Reasonably fit
- Prepared to have a DHS screening check
