Uniting Communities acknowledges the emerging impacts of climate change and believes that taking collective action to reduce our carbon emissions is in the best interests of our clients, staff, volunteers and the wider community.

The Beyond Carbon Neutral (BCN) Volunteer role will support our BCN committee in the delivery of projects falling under the emissions reduction plan with different projects on how the organisation can reduce carbon emission. The various projects require planning, research, preparation of communications.

Ideally we are looking for someone who:

• Has knowledge of, or interest about carbon reduction or climate change e.g. waste reduction, energy reduction
• Has experience or knowledge of waste management
• Is proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Wants to be part of an organization that has been certified as a carbon neutral organisation.
• Has experience in analysing data and working with datasets and has good research skills
