The program Australian Red Cross facilitates the use of a Beach Access Mat at the Solomontown Beach in Port Pirie. The Beach Access Mat allows people with a disability or mobility aids to access the water, which creates a more inclusive and equal community. The opportunity The Volunteer Beach Mat Installer will be responsible for rolling out the mat when it is booked, as well as packing up and storing the mat correctly in the designated area. Manual handling training will be provided.
The impact As a Volunteer Beach Mat Installer, you will be helping to ensure that all members of the community are able to access the beach, enhancing the inclusiveness of Port Pirie and surrounding regions.
