The Adelaide Sustainable Building Network (ASBN) is a not-for-profit organisation that brings together thousands of South Australians with a passion for urban sustainability.

As the SMES, you will be responsible for content curation across all ASBN social media platforms. The main goal will be to increase awareness of the ASBN and the work we do; to advocate for the uptake of sustainable and ecologically beneficial practices within all industries linked to the built environment.

This role will suit someone who can navigate Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram with ease. The ability to seek out relevant and inspiring content to share, as well as creating original copy from the ASBN knowledge bank is key, along with building valuable connections.

You might be studying or working within the realm of design, construction or property and want to build your networks or simply have a deep interest in sustainability - the ASBN is the perfect place to expand your knowledge!

Core duties:

• Assist in the planning and execution of the social media strategy
• Promote ASBN events and report on performance
• Write social media copy, in line with ASBN themes and tone
• Schedule posts utilising Hootsuite and Facebook Business, on a weekly basis
• Answer questions from followers and reply to comments on social media channels - build relationships

About the ASBN: The ASBN educates and advocates for the sustainable built environment through events, lectures, site visits, workshops, and digital knowledge sharing. We create opportunities for experts to share their specialist knowledge, improve awareness around sustainability in urban environments, and showcase innovative South Australian projects which work towards sustainable futures. Our audience includes commercial and residential developers, architects, designers, and builders, as well as home and building owners.

The ASBN team is made up of a group of fun loving, environmentally conscious individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds including designers, architects, consultants, students, public servants, and more! Our steering committee guides the day-to-day and long-term goals of the organisation, of which the SMES role will be a part.
