We are looking for friendly volunteers to help assist our staff in running a Social Support Group. These groups help connect and support our clients living with low vision  and blindness.

Tasks will include greeting and guiding where required. Facilitating  small group discussions around current affairs and local news. Reading the local paper, crosswords and many other client interest based activities.

The program also has regular outings to different locations such as bistro's, cafes and other venues of interest to the group members. The volunteer would also need to assist in the kitchen with some tea and coffee making and other program support tasks as required.

At Vision Australia (VA), volunteers are an integral member of our workforce who commits time and skills, without remuneration to assist VA in achieving its mission. We recognise that volunteers are important to the sustainability of VA. Our volunteers provide essential support to our clients and staff.
