HammondCare Caulfield has launched a new library program for elderly residents living in an aged care home. You'll love this volunteer librarian role if you have a passion for books and serving people’s needs.

As a library volunteer you'll be required

• To maintain the books, magazines and audio books in the library
• Keep a record system of the books loaned
• Tidy and clean the library area when necessary.
• Other tasks including stocktaking, covering books, barcode labelling and filing.

This role will suit you if you can

• work independently and use your strong initiative skills
• communicate with residents, staff and other volunteers.
• have a passion for books and basic knowledge of library filing and maintenance systems.

Ideally you'll be available for 12 months or longer during the week (Monday to Friday), either 10.30am - 12.00 noon or  2.00pm - 3.30pm. We'd be happy to discuss a suitable day and time.

We're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of our residents. We'll provide training as well as ongoing support.
