Taldumande supports vulnerable and homeless children and young people aged 12 to 21 years, and their families. Based in Northern Sydney and the Northern Beaches, we support young people from all across Sydney.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced volunteer grant writer who is available to assist 5-10 hours a week for the next six months (with an option to extend if needed). The role will report to the Fundraising Manager, will be based in North Sydney with opportunities to work from home, and will undertake the following duties:

• Prepare accurate and effective grant applications on a strict deadline
• Produce evaluation reports for funders to support acquittal requirements and ongoing grant applications
• Research alternative grant funding
• Record and monitor deadlines in the calendar of application and acquittal due dates
• Comply with all grant reporting as required by government/foundation/community/corporate donors.

To be successful in this volunteer role, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

• 18 years and over
• Attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven experience and advanced skills in grant seeking, accurate grant writing and grant management skills to secure local community, club grants and other government and community grants as required
• Ability to identify appropriate Council and Community projects which Taldumande may be eligible for funding
• Ability to work closely with the Fundraising Manager
• Understanding of clients' rights to privacy and confidentiality.
