Cancer Council NSW is a community funded, community focused cancer charity dedicated to working towards a cancer-free future. There are things that we can all do every day to help make this happen.

Use your friendly customer service and problem-solving skills to help in the support of the Southern Region team. This is a terrific opportunity to learn about practical support and program delivery, as well as community fundraising and projects.

The Reception team provides administrative support to the Wollongong office answering phones, responding to enquiries and supporting the Volunteer & Partnerships Coordinator in the delivery of key volunteer engagement projects.

Based in Wollongong, you will report to the Volunteering & Partnerships Coordinator and will undertake the following duties: • Handle regional enquiries & referrals • Provide customer service to Cancer Council clients • Support the delivery of our Transport to Treatment services by assisting in taking bookings and handling communications • Manage the reception area including outgoing mail, merchandise deliveries and couriers • Receiving, receipting and managing banking donations

Our ideal volunteer: • Available 1 day a week • Computer and database skills including Word, Excel and Outlook • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team • Excellent attention to detail and time management • Patience, flexibility and excellent communication skills • Have a commitment to the cause of Cancer Council NSW
