Assist MCG patrons who are using the Travellers Aid buggy service on and off the buggies and provide awareness and education regarding other Travellers Aid related services. You will also assist patrons who have difficulty getting to the MCG and their relevant gate of entry prior to events, be present during the event and support their return to a designated drop off point. You will be required to work outdoors in all weather and the volunteering will involve attendance before, during and after the event. Volunteering may involve weekdays and weekends day or evening. It is desirable that you have experience working with people with disabilities, older people and people from diverse backgrounds. You need to be culturally aware and sensitive to the needs and different perspectives of people from diverse cultures and be physically able to perform the required duties. A full Australian Drivers Licence is required and you are required to undertake a Police Check, a Working with Children Check and an international Police Check if necessary.
