Emergency Recovery Volunteer

VolunteeringACT
Logo for VolunteeringACT

VolunteeringACT manages the registration and referral of spontaneous volunteers for the ACT. After a disaster is over, volunteers may be required to assist with recovery.

There are a variety of ways you can contribute as a spontaneous volunteer. In the short term volunteers may help with external and internal clean up, transport, administration or tasks that require specialist skills. However Emergency Recovery can last months or years and volunteers may be needed in the long term to assist with a variety of tasks such as building and environment restoration activities, or supporting community service organisations experiencing an increase in demand for services.

Please note that there has been no formal call for volunteers for the bushfire emergency on the South Coast yet. By registering you are providing your details so we may contact you if requests for volunteers are made. Please be aware that there is no guarantee you will be contacted to volunteer for the bushfire recovery effort. We thank you for your willingness to be called upon to assist with what will be a mammoth recovery effort.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
