Who are we? Greyhounds as Pets is the non-for-profit initiative of Greyhound Racing NSW that rehomes retired Greyhounds. What do GAP Volunteers do? You will work closely with our GAP team who look after the care and retraining of Greyhounds whilst they are waiting for their furever homes. As a Volunteer with GAP, you have the opportunity to either attend our adoption days and raise awareness of the GAP Program and Greyhounds as a breed. Or assist at our branches in either Londonderry (Western Sydney) or Wyee (Central Coast) with the daily care of our Greyhounds including daily walks. We host adoption days at various locations around New South Wales, attend social events such as Dogs in the Park and Street Paws and major events such as the Dog Lovers Show and Sydney Royal Easter Show. We are open to anyone who has previous experience volunteering with dogs or currently owns a Greyhound!
