Our Wesley Mission Queensland Cooper House Aged Care Community located at Chermside is seeking a volunteer to assist staff and residents with the fortnightly communion and worship service on a Monday morning. These services are inclusive of all faiths and a spiritual belief is not essential for this role.

This volunteering role includes:

• The setting up and packing down of resources utilised for church service.
• Escorting residents to and from the service and assisting as required during the service.
• Providing companionship and a sense of belonging.
• Documenting the names of residents who attended the service.
• Communicating resident feedback to staff to enhance resident enjoyment.

This volunteering role is suitable for people who have well developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and display a calm and empathetic manner. Volunteering is a wonderful way to make a difference in the lives of our senior residents while making friends, having fun and learning new skills.

Volunteering times for this role are Monday 10am till 12noon fortnightly. Hours are negotiable.
