Volunteer Administration Assistant - Injury Management

The UnitingCare Injury Management Team is looking for a volunteer who can assist them with administrative tasks relating to the injury recovery process.

The main duties of this role include: Undertaking a range of administrative duties which require a high degree of judgment, initiative, confidentiality and sensitivity. Providing support with data entry using Microsoft Excel and Word Uploading medical certificates to the WorkCover Online platform Assisting the team with Normal Weekly Earnings (NWE) calculations Supporting the team with creating reports Answering calls and assisting with enquiries Maintaining a tidy and welcoming workspace. Utilising Microsoft Office and/or other business software, to prepare reports and other documentation as necessary. *Providing administrative assistance, as required, to the team.

• Although no formal qualifications are required for this role, an interest in injury management would be an advantage. • An understanding of insurance and Worker’s Compensation legislation would be desirable. • Previous experience in an administration role • Ability to demonstrate strong data entry skills with high attention to detail • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel at an intermediate level • The willingness to learn in the role • Ability to be flexible and proactive in contributing to the effective functioning of a team • Friendly and professional attitude • Excellent English verbal communication skills • Ability to work within the beliefs, mission, values and policies of UnitingCare and adhere to the provisions of the Workplace Health and Safety and other relevant Legislation.
