Alternatives to Violence Project - Alice Springs

Those interested in joining the facilitator team begins by participating in both the Basic and Advanced workshops which offer opportunities to learn conflict resolutions skills. Conflict occurs in our everyday life every time we have a disagreement with someone. This offers a chance to learn and practice skills to help resolve those situations in ways that create a win/win outcome.

Volunteers need to be 18 or over.

Workshops run on two consecutive Saturdays 8am - 5pm. There will be preparation meetings (arranged to suit the team) in the week prior to the first Saturday

Requirements

*Please note: It’s important that organisations continue to monitor and follow the advice and guidelines of both State or Territory, and Federal Governments in relation to the latest COVID-19 requirements. * As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Voluntary Workers Personal Accident Insurance). * Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
