Volunteers (English Education Program Support) assist staff in the delivery of educational workshops and the provision of learning support to people aged who are require improvement in the English language. This support helps to maximise learning English and for better outcomes for program participants and provides them with the encouragement and confidence to pursue additional learning opportunities in the future.

• Assist staff with the delivery of program relevant workshops focused on the development of academic and social skills. 
• Work collaboratively with staff to help establish a supportive and inclusive learning environment for program participants.
• Provide academic support and mentoring to program participants in both a group and one to one setting.
• Help facilitate the achievement of academic goals by answering questions, offering guidance on course material and providing support with study skills.
• Document client interactions in line with CatholicCare’s procedures.
• Advise the Volunteer Manager/Coordinator or Program Manager of any concerns regarding the client or themselves as soon as possible.
• Develop and maintain an awareness of CatholicCare’s suite of services.
• Attend meetings and training sessions which are aimed at providing a support network and assisting volunteers to stay informed of important matters affecting them and clients.
• Comply with CatholicCare’s Guiding Principles, Code of Conduct, confidentiality requirements, work health and safety obligations and CatholicCare policies and procedures in undertaking their volunteer role.
