EM Tooth Residential Aged Care is a fully-accredited aged care facility strengthened by a team of value-driven professionals who sincerely care about what they do and what they bring to our organisation and residents.

Our Lifestyle team offer a number of services including group outings and activities for our residents. To maintain these essential services, we require the support of volunteers. We are seeking Volunteer Activities Assistants to work with our paid staff, supporting residents with various activities and group programs.

Along with setting up and packing down activities, you will be required to offer reassurance and support along the way – joining in is encouraged! You may also be required to assist with client outings.

Skills & Qualities • An interest in various activities and hobbies, which may include arts & crafts, sewing, bingo or other games • The motivation to make a difference in other people’s lives • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to relate to different ages and cultures • A patient, friendly and mature attitude and a respect for confidentiality and professional boundaries • Flexibility, commitment and ability to work both independently and within a team • Respect, care and courtesy towards others

Expectations • Availability – at least one shift (4 hours) per week, Monday to Sunday between 8am and 5pm • Consistency and reliability – willing to commit to an ongoing basis • Two (2) referees – who are not relatives and can verify your character and interaction in the community (ie. Work Colleague, Church Elder, Community Leader , Doctor or other Professional) • National Police Certificate – undergo a national police check and we will coordinate and pay for this to be processed
