About the opportunity We are looking for committed and caring volunteers who are able to set aside at least one hour per fortnight to visit and befriend a socially isolated Illawarra resident who is receiving a Home Care Package.

This rewarding role is tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual and may include a friendly chat, playing a card/board game, listening to music or going for a walk.

At IRT we believe it is important to support older people to continue to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives through a person-centred approach.

You have the capacity to add to the quality of life of a care recipient by being a companion, confidante and friend.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
